At 0x, we’re always excited to support builders reimagining what’s possible with decentralized technology. Last month, we had the honor of sponsoring Mobil3, powered by Monad - a hackathon focused on driving innovation in mobile-first crypto applications within the Latin American ecosystem.

Mobil3 invited builders to create mobile-first solutions for two key areas:

• Payments: Building faster, cheaper rails for Latin America’s $150B remittance market and growing demand for stablecoin payments.
• Consumer Fintech: Unlocking financial citizenship for the 70% of unbanked or underbanked in the region with accessible savings, credit, and wealth-building apps.

With judging criteria centered on technical excellence, UX, and real-world impact, the hackathon surfaced projects tackling some of the region’s most urgent financial needs.

Bounty Winner: Monad Pay

Monad Pay is a virtual debit card and mobile-first app that lets users spend ERC-20 tokens in their Monad wallet at any store that accepts VISA.

The app abstracts away blockchain complexity, giving users a simple way to:

• Pay for everyday purchases like coffee, subscriptions, or movie tickets
• Access savings vaults and staking strategies
• Earn and redeem on-chain rewards points
